Heck BB, your probably in the safest building in Boston right now just sit back & let the docs do their thing.
Rob, it's a little warmer here today but the forecast even being warmer isn't all that warm for the time of year. On the good side at least the farmers should be able to get everything plowed & possibly some planting done but they are still calling for a couple of near freezing nights. :? Even the fish aren't acting like they should, even the carp haven't been splashing around but it is starting to pick up the Walleye should be good.

We had frost on the car this morning! Bummer, they say that's all until October but we've heard that before. Just last week as a matter of fact. :( Lisa

Well, I was able to bring my laptop after all, I'm now hooked up to the hospital wifi.

I had my heart cath this am and because of the scar tissue from the others I had, the doctors had to go into the left side of my neck. Now I'm hooked up to more IV bags and they are going to start me on something new tomorrow.

I try to stay positive, but sometimes, its very hard. When you don't feel well, you tend to focus on the negative and to get out of the funk, a little black humor helps.

and he says "I was talking to the sheep"....

toothy

VP fuel - If I ever hit the lotto I'll be buying tanker truckloads of that stuff! I'd sample one of each too! I'd carry a barrel in the truck at all times. :D Good stuff, but cheaper to just clean my carb every spring. ;)

Yeah, this cold weather crap SUCKS!!! Nearly May and we have ZERO days in the 80's so far, unlike last spring. Lit up the last 2 bags of coal on Saturday morning, and it was all over by 7pm Sunday. Woke up to 59° in here yet again. Probably clean it all out tomorrow or the next day. Not enjoying this spring .... :x

Tough to tell from the front...4450? We had a 4850 JD with a straight pipe right off the turbo, what a beast that thing was.

I have never seen a 4055...should have noticed the different head light design...the 50 series had a solid light lense across the front, and the fact that there is only enough room for three lights goes along with the size.

Just working on some tiny equipment over here in the "city" of MA ..

Got this backpack leafblower in for a no-start condition. So I go through the motions - no spark. That's easy enough - new coil pack and spark plug and we're in business. Parts come in, I install, and I've got spark! But no boom ....

So I'm thinking sheared keyway (seen that a couple times due to loose flywheel nut), so I roll it toward TDC and see the magnets hitting the coil just prior to. Keyway is good. So, only thing left is compression. So I yank the cylinder block off, and find a scorched piston & stuck rings. REALLY stuck rings!! I broke the bottom ring trying to work it free! For the top ring, I took my time, soaking in acetone/tranny fluid, then engine degreaser & combustion chamber cleaner. Worked at it with a pick for about an hour, then applied heat to the piston crown. After stabbing myself with the pick, then burning my fingers on the red-hot piston, it came free! Took a solid hour to get that little bastard out of there. Picked at the ring groove to get all that coked up oil out of there, then gently wire-wheeled the ring, then used the little wire wheel on the dremel to clean up the inside of the ring & inside the cylinder with the one-piece non-removable head. Had it all back together in a half hour, and cleaned up my whole street & driveway with it. Success! 8-)
