Ive tried evrything i can afford atm and it seems like solarcaine at least gives a few minutes of relief to the itch.
next time the customer will be walking the land themselves while i stay out on the road shouting "how's it look"!

Did they at least buy the land??

No... The upland portion was set back off the road over 200 feet while skirting past some wetlands along the way

One imbedded tick bite for nothin'!

Running out to try this Tigar Balm slop... hope it does something for the itching :taz:

Did it work for ya? I always use it for poison ivy....Make sure you put it on about a 4" diameter spot.

It does reduce the itching (im not sure if it heats up so hot that you dont realize your itching or what  ) ...its kinda like that theory if i take my 410 and shoot myself in the foot my wrist will stop itching :punk:

It is just a tick, relax. It isn't a rattlesnake. The good news is you removed it. Yeah, you did it wrong and the head remained but the head cant hurt you. They actually make a sweet little pincher tool we own that allows you to grab it, then spin it counter clockwise and just like magic, out it comes. Cost me like $2.

My 6 year old daughter got Lymes when she was 4. Had a huge rash on her back the size of a dinner plate and we never saw a tick on her. The doc put her on an anti-biotic for 14 days and she has been good to go ever since. Directly from the doctor: The tick cannot give you Lymes disease if you remove it. It has to get its fill on your blood, regurgitate a little bit back into you, then release. It is that regurgitation that gives you the disease. IF it is a deer tick and IF it is carrying Lymes.

We found another tick on her last summer. It was on her neck near her hair line. That one we removed with tweezers and the head remained. The doc said they actually don't even worry about the head as it hurts the child more to try and dig it out then it does to leave it in. It healed up fine with no issues.

We also dug one out of one of the then 2 year olds. Same thing, it healed up fine.

I have had probably close to 30 or more ticks in me since I first started climbing around in the woods at about age 8. Never had an issue. I have shot deer and while I was gutting them actually watched them crawl away in droves. It comes with the territory.

Could have been worse. Could have been a black widow spider...

I would have expected you to recommend sprinkling with gunpowder and then lighting it to remove a tick.

I once found a tick in the middle of my back. I went to the hospital for removal. It was in me about a week and was dead. The doctor at the hospital said it was dog tick and that I was fine.

Burn it! I used to scald the hell out of it. Seriously itched for at least 2 years. The burn would at least stop the itch.

DC,

Get a big gob of Vaseline and cover his ass up with a thick layer of it . Go sit on the porch with some of Freedies coffee and in a half hour or so he'll back his ass right out. Vicks Vaporub works too. Have a good day...
