ya could always do it the "southern" way.. like the flood levies in florida...

get the 27+ bags of sack crete and stack them up pyramid style.......lightly mist them with water till soaked throughly...

eventually the rain washes away the bag portion and you now have a "Southern Porch" ! :) ......

somewhat 'gator proof and the termites hurt their teeth when they come for lunch ;)

LOL I like that. For a while there my house looked like I was from the south. There was all kinds of stuff laying around. Like, 1000 gallon septic tanks floating in giant pools of water down the street.

OK, so here are some more pics of the sides. If I take them off I can hopefully build up the sides using block then on the remaining old stairs cement new block on and build the stairs out. Would that work? What do I use for a base?
