Well to be fair, if civilizational ceased to exist as we know it and all these city dwellers didn't have someone to pay to do things for them who's going to be the stupid ones then?

Seriously though it's my understanding the education in such places is atrocious, I'm not saying they are stupid. Someone that thinks someone else could be stupid based on where they live or other factors is fool himself but if you aren't receiving an education stands to reason you're not going to have an understanding of things like someone that does receive one.

I was joking about loading up the flatbed, actually my feeling is that the folks in the backwoods and hills are far smarter than most of us. I made a joke that follows the logic that somehow back woods people are less educated. I think the opposite is true, those folks have my respect.

We have been raised without the benefit of experiential learning, we learn along the lines of what John was saying about the type of elitist people who are hungry for power so they can make rules. Those type of people are the ones setting curicula in our schools, is really quite alarming if you take a good look at what is going on. So called education is a joke! We learn drivel in rote style and have no real common sense or ability to really live. In the name of civilization we remove all humanity and heart form the process and value so called "education" as the standard for "smart".

Bottom line, I'll take a back woods person with the ability to live off the land any day as a friend over a city clicker who thinks that advertising is truth.

I Concur, Very well said, Scary but true. My best friends daughter is attending Johnson &Wales, known her since she was bouncing on my knee. Great kid, but once she saw me with my "I Neutered My Cat Now He's a Liberal" Tee-shirt and she for the 1st time in my life was obviously COLD towards me. Considering she was like a real Niece to me I was taken aback at the attitude she portrayed.

This is the Liberal Agenda that they indocrinate our children at these schools of so-called Higher Learning. Her parents were shocked at her transfermation, 2 years and she is a totally different person.

theres a guy on my car forum that says that electric everything is the answer.......i reminded him that coal makes up for most of the united states utilities power......he would cry that coal is dirty and stinky and nasty, and it's use should be outlawed.....i reminded him that when you burn oil.....there is no ash....all that crap ends up in the air......coal ash is a wonderfull thing, especially when you have a 1/8 mile long iced up driveway..........he came up to visit one time when it was snowing out, asked how we kept the place so warm......his apartment is always cold haha

Most of the people we are talking about here have definite agendas, not driven by knowledge of the subject at hand, but because they are brainwashed. They really do not know what the hell they are talking about. All they know is what they have been told. It's all "We have to do this, and stop doing that, and save this, and stop using that". They really don't know why, they have just been told it's what needs to be done or the planet is going to be ruined for generations untold.
But most of these people still drive cars, use electricity, and enjoy all the other advantages that living in this period in time affords them.
If they really believed in their cause...
They would not use electricity, because generating electricity causes pollution and depletes natural resources.
They would not heat where they live, because heating causes pollution and depletes natural resources.
They would not buy food at supermarkets, restaurants, etc. because the food industry causes pollution and depletes natural resources.
They would not buy their lattes at Starbucks on their way to the protest rally because Starbucks causes pollution and depletes natural resources.
They would not buy clothes produced by the clothing industry because the manufacturing clothing causes pollution and depletes natural resources.
They want us all to live as people lived 300 years ago.
Get my point?

It's all an agenda, unfortunately using unsuspecting, brainwashed people to do the work.
But ALGORE buys carbon credits to offset his energy use....and laughs all the way to the bank.
