Looks like the North Pole is experiencing its shortest summer since records began:

We are entering a Grand Solar Minimum. These happen every few hundred years. The last one happened during the era of Dickens. That's why there are all the stories about cold and the frozen Thames river. Also Washington crossing the Delaware with ice in December, near Trenton. In Washington's time the Delaware froze over in that spot every winter.
You will start noticing it in about 5 years or so. The overall temperature of the Earth has cooled over the last decade. In about 20 years (if you are still here, I don't know if I will be) the Winters will be much colder on average than right now.

There are also regular cycles on a smaller scale as well such as the direction of the currents in the oceans. Since the early 80's the Pacific has been in its warm cycle which has caused the somewhat warmer temperatures in the Arctic and the North American Continent. Now the Pacific has switch back into it's cold cycle, such as it was back in the sixties and seventies. These cycles alternate every 40 to 60 years.
The last warm cycle of the Pacific brought the great heat and droughts of the 1930's. Contrary to what the environmental whack jobs say, the mid 1930's were much, much warmer than anything we have had in the past couple of decades.

So the truth is we will be cold then we will be warm then we will be cold then we will be warm then we will be cold then we will be warm. OMG, when does it stop?

It doesn't, but; don't worry one day it will be no longer a matter for your concern or mine. See image below for explanation.

C'mon Dave your marketing needs a little umph. How about 250 years of global cooling that will start immediately without any notice at all. Be a prepper, all stoves will be absolutely unobtainable when this hits. Get your LL stove and buy a spare - be ready now. Any buyer that uses the word AlGore will get 2% off.

What you are overlooking is that the global warming advocates (not scientists) are never wrong. How can they be when all they have to do is change the numbers. What a thermometer says is not relevant. What is relevant is a good theory according to Mr. Mann.

This makes me glad that I already have a garage full of conversion stokers. I'll be warm for the entire 250 years!

Yes, it is. It is just the simple unavoidable truth of all things. It helps to keep one's perspective properly adjusted.

The sun is only 3 to perhaps at most 4 months away from having its magnetic polls flip over. Apparently it does this every 11 years. I wonder what kind of winter this will bring?

Even though I have not seen the very low temperatures, the total degree days have been very close owing to cooler spring.
