Hi All,
Finally shutting down and doing the year end cleaning for the first time. The manual for the koker states that the combustion motor should be removed and the ash cleaned from under the grates. I really can't see how to remove the combustion motor and don't want to break anything trying to do it. Can someone please give me a good description on how to remove it? The manual really does not go into detail on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

If I recall correctly there is only one screw (that's in a hard place to reach) & then the fan rotates out of the half moon slot that it sits in. The other small motor with a fan blade plugs into the harness & has a cage around it. While it's out you may as well put a few drops of oil in it, if it's the same as mine it's upside down oil wise, they don't give you much wire so if you want to take & blow it out or anything you got to go into the box & remove the wire nuts. Good time to poke all the grate holes clean & make something to reach in the corners & pull the hidden coal & dust out.

samhill is correct.
The screw he's referring to is the one shown just beyond the end of the motor in the attached blurry photo.
Remove the screw, slide the motor out of the flange and you've got it.

Thanks Sam and Len, I think I can make out the screw in the photo. Looks like it is right there in the flange. I will need to look closer when I get home but I don't know how I missed that. Thanks again!

Suggestion:

I replaced that screw with a phillips screw and use this tool.....15 minutes of trying to get that srew out is now a 2 minute job!

Thanks for the suggestion, looks like good idea. I just used a long slotted driver but it still took awhile especially getting it back in.
