Yep, got mine up but it seldom comes down anymore unless we get a bad storm front, hooked up a solar light on the pole & it works well.

You & me both Sam, my pasture light hits the flag real well--usually replace the Flag every spring--I went with a 4' X 6' this year rather then the 3' X 5'---I like it

Yesterday was also the day that some that came back from Nam but brought with them ailments that they fought for the rest of their lives get a bit of recognition, sad that it takes so long & that the names aren't added but at least it's something. My friend battled almost every ailment there is once back & beat most, my he now rest in peace. A few more brothers are added each year at this time.

HEAR HEAR Fred! 8-)

When we first bought this place the first thing I wanted to do was set up a flagpole .... until I found out about the permits. :( Permits to fly Ol' Glory ..... :bang:

Besides the fact it's a big responsibility to fly it right - take it down in bad weather, keep it lit or take down at night, fly at half mast when appropriate - Don't think I'm worthy.

Thats just nutz. Are these county zoning laws or a HMO regulation. I have a tree in the front yard that needs to go and it will be replaced by a nice flag pole to display "Old Glory" in the correct manor day and night.

I have a flag that a vietnam hero gave me and I display it whenever I want, I treat it like the person that gave it to me....and yes to the very last breath!
