He is still plenty fast when he wants to be, but he spends most of his time enjoying life. It seems like he has never forgotten what it was like to live in a cage...he loves to lay under a shady tree with his nose in the wind and watch the neighborhood.

Rob, my cousin adopted a Greyhound. She said there was all kinds of weird issues when they first got the dog. It tried walking across the pool... LOL. I think it was her that told me that, might have been another owner. Stairs were another problem.

It is like training an 80 lb puppy. They have been kenneled their entire life, and know how to race...that is about it when you get them. Mine would walk into glass doors (few pieces of masking tape solved that), did not know how to use stairs (had to show him), and "potty training" took a few weeks. They are used to staying in a kennel and being let outside to do their business, so you need to gradually expand their space until they think the house is theirs.

There is German Shepherd down the street that comes to visit occasionally. Really nice dog but he's scares the *censored* out of you every time because he's pure black and huge. Every time I see him I think it's a damn bear. His head is as big as Rosie. Rosie is afraid of him but she's afraid of her own shadow. Mollie will play with him though.

Only the dog is "mine"...the orphaned fawns were temporary visitors which were taken to an animal rescue center the day after these pictures were taken. Their mother was hit by a car and killed near our house. Harley by the way is definitely the best lab ever! :)

..and here is Alfie. He looked just like the sit-com puppet Alf when he was a puppy and still steals you toast in the morning when your not looking. He is a golden doodle, very smart but acts dumb....the opposite of humans

Looking at all these nice photos, I just say to myself that many animals are smarter than many ""humans"" :?:

Very different cat. Long hair but no problem with knots and very soft. The only defense she knows is to attack so I try not to let her out too long or at the wrong times. Likes attention and lets you know.

Didn't I see a pretty little calico in some of your pictures?

The Main C.C. is very nice. Is it aggressives with children?
Here, when I said to some custommers that I got a big cat, one of them told me that it was certainly a Main C.C.But I realised it is not. The Main C.C. is a much more ""refined"" cat than my cat. In fact one is very small, it's a Chatte d'Espagne and the big one looks like a small lynx.

No. They are noted for their gentleness. Mine is very aggressive to other cats or to a dog that is threatening.

Love the picture of your calico under the stove. The pattern of your other cat would be called brown tabby the same as my cat.

Some Maine Coon males can be very large as you can see from this picture.
