Yeah thats tricky. But at the other end of the house and in the basement level, there is a flue I could tap into and install a freestanding stove. With the insert running on one end of the house in the living room and a stove running on the other end in the basement, I hope to take a huge bite out of the oil bill. We would still use oil in the shoulder months and it also does the DHW. I'd consider this project a success if my gf is happy and our oil bills are lower.
