Have you ordered your coal yet?

Have you ordered your coal yet?

PostBy: Rob R. On: Fri Aug 09, 2013 6:38 pm

Have you ordered your coal yet? If not...it is time. If you don't have the cash yet, at least talk to your dealer and see what their current stock is and let them know what your plan is. I made a few calls this week to order a TT load, and everyone I talked to said it was a good thing I didn't wait any longer because they are starting to get busy.

Of course. It is worth noting that it is a simpler task if you only burn 1000 lbs per year. :nana:

14,500 lbs out back I cannot help looking at the tarped pallets and not smiling. Another 7000 lbs in the coal shed which will be emptied soon, as it is 6 inches on the neighbors property line. They don't care but someone else might, and I am young enough to do it  55 years old and I gambled on the property line, and our surveyor proved me wrong. I always tell friends when you get a property survey you may not like what you learn. Oh well experience comes from bad judgement.

Funny you should ask. Just a couple of hours before you posted this question I was at my coal dealer ordering 4 skids of rice. This weekend I'll be hauling it home and stacking it.
I always feel so rich when I've got a new stash of coal! :D

I called about 2 weeks ago and the local yard delivery will be here this week. Friday is looking like the big fill, 2 ton from last year in the bin and 3 more comin. First winter in my life I may have all the heating fuel all ready to go. Does give one a minor sense of security. ;)

I bought four ton with the tax return and have hauled two into the bin. Two more to go sometime this fall. (I also filled two oil tanks last spring but that should last a couple years now that coal is the primary heat!)
