The text of the Constitution, Article I, Section 9; Clause 3

PostBy: lsayre On: Fri Aug 09, 2013 9:09 pm

says: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed"

The definition of a Bill of Attainder is: "A bill of Attainder is an act declaring a person or group of persons guilty of some crime and punishing them without privilege of a judicial trial."

The post 911 Patriot Act, the NDAA, Homeland Security, the actions of the IRS, the NSA, and many of the Executive Orders this President and his predecessor (and Congress) have signed into law violate not only multiple of the Amendments to the Constitution, but they violate this section (and I'm sure others) of the main body of our Constitution itself. When are we going to wake up to the realization that the shell game better known as the DemoPublican regime (er, Party) is not our friend?

In days past a lot of Congressmen would have been censured and Presidents impeached for far less than the current crop gets away with.

But where do you go when they are all playing the same game on the same team?

You back and support a different team. One that agrees to actually abide by the rules of the game instead of bending and twisting them to suit their whims and fantasies and power lust madness.

Ultimately we do! I.E., the group known as "the 99%", who are for the most part satiated couch potatoes who would rather watch TV than watch over or actually care to do anything about those who have risen to govern and rule over them (due to their very election by the 99%).

Most people know this and just don't care. As long as the checks in the mail and the trash is picked up the average person does not concern themselves with how lawless the government has become over the decades. Will this ever change, I do not think so. I believe we are to far gone as a nation to even have the slightest hope of any return to at least a hint of a constitutional government. There are just to many people depending on uncle sugar for their very existence that they won't rock the boat. Don't forget that the power elite also get to change the rules as the game goes along. After the last election I got gerrymandered into a 99.9% liberal district so in state elections there is no point in me even going to the polls.
