Remember Uri Geller and his spoon bending? James Randi pretty much discredited him because he claimed to really have special magical paranormal powers.

I like magic and always wonder how it is done, but am disappointed when the trick is revealed because the sense of wonder is gone.

I like David Blaine and his street magic but don't like when he does dangerous things.

Blaine is incredible and lot of that stuff isn't even magic, just pure physical performance.

That's the part I wish he would not do. One of these days he will go too far and we could lose a great performer.

It's always interesting to see the reaction of the people viewing the performance. Usually laughter tinged with embarrassment, but sometimes fear.
