last quote I got was $320 per ton bagged and a min $40 delivery charge (that goes up fast if your more than 10 miles away), for what its worth as recommended to me by a Nepa Member (I think it was CoalVet) ... those of you who are South of Boston should be going to Eastern Ice in Brockton, Ma. (todays price $290.00 per ton bagged Blaschak with a min. $35.00 delivery charge). I know its only a $35.00 savings BUT its the principle!!! (they also let me toss my ton onto my truck in separate loads, I somehow wound up with 52 bags after both my runs ) You should go here only while the sun is up though

I would suggest if you buy from Riverside buy in bulk make it worth his while especially if you are not local.I think for most people storage is the biggest issue. When I finally get a stove set up I will request the bin and order 4tons in the spring then I will be set for winter. Locally we are pushing $400ton I know Aubchon Hardware might even be higher than that.

As DCRANE mentioned, Eastern Ice in Brockton, Ma. is good place to get coal on the South Shore.
I have been using them for years and never had a problem, I get it delivered and they are always dependable.
They also deliver to the Cape, as they deliver ice there also.

I didn't know they carried bagged Blaschak though, in the past it was Concentra and something else.
It's decent white anthracite coal though!

I'm from Leominster in North Central Mass. It's a straight shot up Rte 2 for Paul. We have a fair amount of people in town who burn coal. All the yuppies burn pellets and cry when there are no pellets and no power :cry2: . Hand fired coal for this guy.
