Fair and balanced.
War makes money for Fox, too. The more exciting the story, the more people will tune in.
It's terrifying how easy it is to whip up war fervor in this country:
-- Congress is owned by the corporations that profit from war.
-- Nobody is afraid that Syria will attack our homeland in return.
-- Our all-volunteer army is like our favorite football team. We can send them off to play another game while we watch on TV without fear that we ourselves, or our children, will be drafted against our will as cannon fodder.

I mean they should be grateful to us, look how Libya turned out:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 97041.html

They should welcome us with open arms. Do we see a pattern here?

Gun happy McCain seen here carefully reviewing the details of us going to war

Songbird McCain needs to die off, old man, old ideas. That seems fitting as he is willing to vote for a large scale war in return for money from his defense buddies. So put these warmongering people in the front lines armed with nerf guns and Burger King gold paper crowns for head protection. We are already in an age of hypersonic missiles/carrier killers and Syria has these. Putin is a chess player and Obummer can barely handle tic tac toe. He wants the US to go in criminally and start a war. They get to test the new weapons without cost and 20,000 missiles get launched to Israel and we are in the middle of this mess and Russia/China/Iran have no downsides here. They can do nothing, funnel weapons as they wish or go in once we are weakened and the US people scream NO MORE which will be very soon. One carrier sinking should do it. Perhaps NK will start trouble at the same time. If that happens who do we send in Kerry? Dennis or even Kermit the frog will be better than that option.

Remember Vietnam!! Where's Jane, she will now reappear with younger Hollywood bimbos to assist? What if Chloe and Kim are against the war then we will have to stop.

That scares me as much as anything – a carrier or other big warship sinking. It will take something like that to bring home the foolhardiness and needless risk-taking of our “leadership”. If we keep on gun-slinging, eventually we WILL get our comeuppance in a big way. And then what? Whether the US people would scream “no more” remains to be seen. As sure as I’m sitting here, our military and politicians would call it Syrian AGGRESSION, never mind who fired the first shot, and then we would have to save face in an even bigger way, meaning an even bigger war.

And of course Jane was savaged for her position at the time. Did Nixon / Kissinger / McNamara apologize to her once it became clear that she was right and they were wrong?

The most we can do is write emails and snail mail letters to our congressman and senators letting them know how we feel. I have done both along side with bitching on forums. So those of you who feel strongly about this. Let them know before its too late. The biggest threat to our security is our open boarders not a civil war in Syria.

Rburg, IMHO I will never agree that Hanoi Jane was right in what she did to or for the POW effort, I really don't think she should have had the right to go over there in the first place but as I said that's JMO & I hold my stash of Hanoi Jane urinal stickers with pride.

It's time for the old republican guard to move along. Both McCain and Graham, don't seam to have a handle on what republicans want any more. These two clowns voted along with one other rep. and 7 dems. to approve a strike on Syria. Now it goes to the full Senate. Morons.
