How about we consider the needs of the USA for once?

Keeping Israel out of any conflicts is the needs of the US. Israel is going to do everything they can to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and they are going to act if we don't. Obama's red line statement comment put him in box and his failure to act on it is going to embolden the Iranians and has the Israeli's questioning what he's going to do with Iran. If they attack Iran and they will if we or the world don't act there is a retaliatory attack on Israel and it's all over for any peace in that part of the world. If there is nuclear or chemical action inside Israel welcome to modern nuclear warfare.

If he wanted to lob a few hundred missiles into Syria he had the chance, instead he punted it to Congress as it was the most politically advantageous thing for him to do.

John McCain: “Entering, as I am, the springtime of my senility,** I agree with President Obama that we should attack Syria. Why? Because I've never seen a war that I and General Dynamics didn't like. And after we get rid of Assad, Syria will be run by Islamic terrorists, so we can have ANOTHER war, while we figure out where to start still ANOTHER, into the future forever and forever. Amen.”

So when the USA kills a bunch of people with drones, and then comes around a few minutes or so later to wipe out those assisting in the aftermath (because of the likelihood of friends and supporters of the deceased assisting), how is this acceptable wherein other means of killing are determined to be not acceptable?

Fox News is subtly getting with the war program. On my way home from work today I heard Fox News repeating over and over the "Syrian regime" this and the "Syrian regime" that, ad-nausium. A few weeks ago it would have been the Syrian government, but today it is the Syrian regime. The word regime (for reasons unknown) has evil connotations for Americans. The propaganda in this is blatant. If they are a regime, they probably deserve to have us bomb them into the stone age.

Because nobody brought out the Big Red Pen on that.

I'm curious though, what does everyone think the Russian response will be?

If we, as Obama and his minions (from both parties) tell us they will degrade Assads military assets, then Russia will just supply Assad with replacements. If it starts a cycle ( chances are great for this) then it will only escalate hostilities. This will then bring Iran into it further IMO and they will try to use it as an excuse to attack Israel.

Kerry today would not rule out "boots" on the ground...then walked it back later. I don't trust the sumbiotchs as far a I can throw them.

They (tptb) want war, they may get it, only this time it's different, they have weapons we have not had to deal with before, who knows. If it happens it will grow into a full conflict . And for them it will be great , they can get right to Iran who is next on the list.
