And as with anything, gun owners would be foolish to go to the fair and businesses should boycott it. When public officials conspire to take away your constitutional rights, fight them at he ballot box and with your wallet.

I am in a bind. I usually help out one of our dealers there. I still will go just to keep my word. But I will not be spending a dime and will only use my vendor pass. My family day there is cancelled as well. We will go elsewhere for the day.

Not sure this is legal

The only way I could see it as being illegal is if A)It's public property and B)it's being run government.

(A) I don't know but certainly it's not a government run event, is it?

We are going to go to Penns cave instead. We will still have a incredible amount of family fun. And if enough people take their money elsewhere it really will show them.

Most people will be glad to know that all you Jesse James wannabees are elsewhere, with or without your money. :) A cave does seem appropriate.

So what if guns aren't allowed, "don't go" it's as simple as that. I think the Fair or any other venue will survive without all the gun toting civilians there with the idea that they are the only thing standing between them & mass murder.

You guys just don't get it, do you.

If the fair proclaimed that you were not allowed to speak of anything not related to the fair while at the fair, would you still attend?

Ain't about the gun - it's about RIGHTS.

That's exactly my point Smitty, except I've never gone to a fair to speak, if you don't like it don't go. I'm no law expert but I would think that the promoters of the fair have an equal right in not allowing guns as a gun owner has in not going because of that rule. As far as I see it there is no big deal with this it's the risk the promoter takes in keeping some away, there may be more that come because of it or less but that was their decision, perhaps next year they will consult here first. ;)

This,

I actually could care less if I were to carry there or not. But for them to say I am not allowed to, that is my issue. Whats next maybe they will have flag burning ceremonies? Or the can lay a flag at the entrance and have everyone just step on it as they enter. Stepping on our rights would be no different. I refuse to support anti 2nd amendment establishments. Its just my choice and the people in charge may be surprised how many agree.
