Hey everyone,
I will attempt to make this short and as PC as possible. Last fall I sent my Crawford Stove parts out to be re-nickel dipped. Nu-Chrome charged me $450 for the job. The parts came back "months" later and were not re dipped, only polished. I called Nu-chrome and they admitted that they did not do the job properly and said to send them back during the summer to be done right "at no cost to me". Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I USPS the parts back to them after I called and spoke with someone to make sure they remembered me. USPS online confirmed the parts were delivered two weeks ago. since I received the confirmation I have tried about 10 times to call Nu-Chrome, NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!! so I left messages' and NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK!!!!!!... So today I attempted to call again and got "THIS NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONECTED".. I called Emory at The Stove Hospital and he gave me another number which was also disconnected. Emory was great and said if I could not make any headway to email him. I hopped online to try and find numbers for any employee or something of Nu-chrome but only found ENTIRE WEBSITES DEDICATED TO NU-CHROME COMPLAINTS... OK so I called the Seekonk town office to get a number to a chamber of commerce or something and once the town clerk heard the name Nu-chrome she sighed then laughed. I was taken aback a bit then said "you apparently had this call before"?? She said yes then said hold on let me get you the number to the AG's office, "AG's office" WOW I said. Long story short I called the AG and she wanted me to file a complaint and she will put it with "ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT NU-CHROME"... I just want my parts back, re-dipped or not. What do I do, when I live up here in Maine....... Oh p.s I emailed Nu-chrome a week ago also with no response......

Time to get in the car and drive over there. I wouldn't leave until I got my parts back.

wow they bone allot of people .....http://www.imperialclub.com/Part/Vendors/NuChrome.htm

If you sent $ using USPS contact the postal inspector office.
Wire fraud = federal crime.
BBB, local PD, will be low priority and probably no help.
Where USPS inspectors are pretty aggressive.

I am near Taunton, THIS IS ABSOLUTLY NESSISARY TO DRIVE TO THEIR LOCATION AND FIND YOUR SHYT ASAP!!! Give me all your info... all the shipping info... dates shipped, people spoken to, etc... I will go their and start raising hell to look for your box (surly its sitting around unopened someplace since it has no value to anyone but YOU).

If the Co. went under the AG wont do anything... they have no doubt filed for bankruptcy and owe creditors HUGE money (lil' guys like us get nothing), even worst... your stuff whined's up being auctioned of with everything else to pay the creditors a slight fraction of what they are owed  someone needs to go their and go their now to get your box!!!

Ok, so I might be soothed into a false sense of assurance but.... I got ahold of Nu-chrome today, the number is back on and they picked up. wow.... I talked with Mike. Mike found my order after looking for like 10 min. He said it would be like Three more weeks before he could even get to the job.. Then he began to tell me "Oh we are not going to strip them down we just prep the outside and dip them once. I said see that's the problem I had the first time is the outside looks ok and the inside is still rusty. He then said he would do the job right. I said here are my two requirements 1: I get the parts back well before heating season 2: they look 100% brand new........

Soooo, the importance of researching things before doing ANY kind of business with ANY company--Crap, even this dumb old farmer does that:( I'd be down there picking my *censored* up personally!

Don't listen to them. Their actions should tell you lots more about their business practice than some dude on the phone. Don't forget about the pages of complaints against them. GET YOUR PARTS BACK. Be patient and have someone else do them. Just don't take a chance. You are going to be stressed out about it until you have them back.
