That's an Andes along with Radiant Homes, one of the best of the mica style of base burners. To get a stick of wood close to this stove is a crime and a travesty. I wonder how much damage they did to it by chunking wood into it.

I agree, at times I search CL under the guise of wood stoves because some folks don't realize what they have and you get a deal due to someones cluelessness, try it in your area and you will be surprised!

Thanks D-frost, and Sunny Boy. It is my understanding this is a premier stove and worth much, much more and it's too bad someone can't buy as an investment to either sit on or use until you retire to Florida and sell it for the down payment on your condo :)

Some body needs to save this stove from obvious heathens. It's an Andes, the top of litter.

True, but Boston's too far for me for a stove that as you pointed out, I'd wonder what condition it's in after use as a wood stove ? If it was closer, I'd be inclined to investigate.

I would contribute to a fund for the gathering of such a jewel, there are a couple members much closer than I with the mind set of artful bartering, one I know could talk'em into taking it for a small fee! :P

I'll give you a hint, he reminds me of "Super Dave Osborne!"

I wonder how much creosote has built up inside this forlorn beauty? It will obviously need a total overhaul to just clean it up.
