Colonoscopy
I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow so I started the cleanout about an hour ago. They want me to drink about a gallon of this godawful stuff - 8 oz glass every 10 minutes.
Ya, right.
I've so far made it through four glasses full without tossing it. But every time I think about pouring another glass full I start to gag. This makes me think of when Professor Dumbledor had to drink that evil potion to retrieve the horcrux. This better work.
What did the man say to the doctor after he swallowed his glass eye?

Do you have the unflavored stuff Go-Lytely (the only thing my insurance will pay for) you can mix some Crystal Lite (lemon flavor) with it & it helps some it has to be a near clear liquid. Your going through the worse part now, the hospital part is a piece of cake, you'll be sleeping.

Been there, the prep is the worst part for sure. Procedure is easy.
What I was given was Gavilyte-n with flavor packet. Thank goodness for Medicare as this only cost me $2.00. I had a choice of what flavor packet I wanted before I mixed it. Orange, lemon or cherry, I chose cherry though I can imagine they all taste just as disgusting.
I made it through half a jug, tossed up a cup and then forced my way through to a little over 3/4 of the jug then gave up. The jug is 4 liters. So now, I'm clean as a whistle in there! Now if my butt will calm down I'll be somewhat happy.
Found a new local cardiologist today, had to, my last one retired - I went to him around 37 years. After a false start when the Doctor my primary sent me to refused to take me on considering that I'm pre-transplant. This new doctor has done heart transplants in Hartford, Ct and he is willing to work with my Boston Doctors.

Well, I survived the procedure just fine.
I what the doctor tells people when he is asked what he does for a living. I work with a-holes? I make a living sticking cameras up peoples butts? Ewwww.
They removed a polyp and I should receive the results in about three weeks. Otherwise I'm set for another five years.

Glad it went well. The prep is no fun, but the procedure is good science and well worth having done.
When I was turning 50 my wife asked me what I'd like for a birthday gift. I told her "I dunno....get me something expensive, get me something I don't really need." So.... she scheduled me for a colonoscopy!
