Just curious what breaker/ company is working best in your coal gun and what size? I've tried Stockton pea and Hudson buck so far and looking for another that people are satisfied with. I know it's a lot to do with what's available and all sorts of factors so your personal pref is what I'm looking for. Thanks
Matt

Harmony worked well for me (I would say the best), but only after I adjusted my ashing temperature clear down to 100 degrees and my hysteresis down to 5 degrees. Blaschak works well with 130 degrees on the ashing and 10 degrees on the hysteresis. A blend of Stockton and Blaschak ran well for me with the same settings as for Blaschak alone. I never tried the Stockton by itself. Those are the only coals I've tried so far.
How did the Stockton pea and Hudson buck work for you?

I mixed the Hudson and Stockton together with so so results. The Hudson was buckwheat sized and would melt into a huge glob if there was too much of it and the Stockton had a huge amount of ash but it burnt. I would get clinkers the size of footballs with the combo. I'm burning harmony this year and loving it so far

the black stuff! anyone else burning Tamaqua? Last year I was burning Reading with no complaints, seems to be more fines in this Tamaqua, other than that it seems to be ok, mine did not like buckwheat I know that for sure, I havent had any puff backs this year that I know of and the only thing I changed other than coal (which has more fines go figure) was my flue pipe coming off my boiler I made it at a 45 instead of 4 foot straight up to a 3 foot piece horizontal into my triple wall vertical stack
