I like your literary touch. You are a smart talented decent guy but also a closet conservative in many of your beliefs and personal life. I like that too. Your previous post illustrated that. That you fail to see it is your blind spot. Our Declaration was written with broad strokes or with a spray gun if you prefer, but in its implications are contained all possible small strokes. Our Constitution was an effort to enumerate or reduce them to a workable system of government. Too often what you or in general liberals regard as an action for the greater good violate those principles, to which you turn a blind eye. All those little strokes add up to big strokes.

What I think you want in life as a fellow member of our species is what most want, that is, to be treated fairly and treat others the same. You do have an aptitude for collecting detail and are correct in accusing me of avoiding that. I most probably agree with you when you point out the evils of big business but if in correcting them you introduce a greater evil of big government, that is when I prefer the broad brush.
