I had that discussion with Jerry. His facts were different from the ones I had been given from dealers that sold other brands. In fact....each dealer had a different set of "facts" on what happened with Alaska and Jerry and how LL came to be. Imagine that! I'll take what Jerry told me as the truth, not that it matters much to me either way. What does matter is the dealers that had bad things to say about that whole thing were immediately scratched off my list as potential retailers. I don't like that crap.
Well I'm not going to get in to the Rumor crap either, but what they had to say in my opinion was not unflagging on Jerrys part if anything as far as I was concerned my take on it was not very flattering for Alaska

When spring gets here and we're all bored, I write a multi -thread story on the facts of Alaska and Jerry . It will contain the facts, just the facts.

I think in 2007 LL made the Coal-trol standard on all their stoves, this is a quote from their web site. "With our "built for Leisure Line" digital programmable Coal-trol thermostat included on this years stoves". It does state it is an option under "econo options" but I think they haven't updated their web site. Jerry please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Steve,
You can buy the Econo with or without a thermostat, but that will end this season. In "08" it will be on all of the stoves. Our Econo sales now are at 95% thermostat. No sense messing around with a manual setup.
