Obama did it again while everyone was focused on something else like a government shut down, he slipped it to us. He had Kerry sign the UN arms trade treaty! :rambo:

I believe that treaties must be ratified by the Senate, but this Senate is clearly the sock puppet of President Obama. Too bad we did not retain the Constitutional means of having each State's legislature appoint its allotment of 2 of our Federal Government's Senators. Why this was ever changed to permit having the people elect the Senators in each State is beyond my capacity for rational thought.

The effects won't be felt for yrs or decades. But they will not be good. We would no longer be our own nation.

lol...it makes great reading!

...but seriously-
our gun laws and policy for importing and exporting (most) arms are strict enough
...the treaty is open ended in the amendment process...as a nations (individual) rights can be subject to a UN members vote.
Certaianly i would think that our Constitutional rights would supercede international 'law'....but why should we potentially compromise our sovereignty??????
one thing leads to another....

Until now I saw President Bush as the worst President in my lifetime. He has been eclipsed in this (by far) by President Obama.

So far I only read the bad chapters. I haven't been able to find the good chapters yet, they must be further in the back. I am sure I will get there. I think.

I am not sure how he was re elected. I admit I did not vote for him and would not have because he just seemed to shady there was just something I did not like about his promises. But once he was elected the first time and for only a short time unfortunately. I felt a little pride that we just elected the first black president. I figured it would be if anything a major milestone for our country. I figured. How bad could he be? And maybe we could see some of this racist crap still left in this country finally go away.
Boy was I wrong! In my 44yrs I do not ever remember a country so divided and racism so rampant. It is disgusting. It is frustrating the greed in this whole administration and the total disregard for the principles that this country was founded on. I just hope we can live long enough for our country to turn around and get back in the right direction. I am losing hope for the needed change. FBHO and his cronies.
