Thanks Waldo - much appreciated. I ended up buying one off eBay for $25 & change shipped. Still a rip, but better than $30 + from those other places.

So far I've blown about $100 in screwups, & parts I shouldn't have needed .... :no1: Such is life ...

That's why God created LIQUOR!! :woot: :shots:

And so the trend of wasting money continues ..... :mad3:

That damn internal flow check (IFC) valve I ordered DOESN'T FRIGGIN FIT!!! Gotta be shittin me!!!!

Of course, the only way to find this out was to make a huge friggin mess in the basement. Water everywhere. Took one side apart ... it's not there! Must be in the other side ... NOPE! Not there either!! :wtf:

The new valve fits in NEITHER side. Great! Now I get to re-install that Taco Flochek I removed during the boiler install. Just can't get a break!!! :bang:

No - when I did the boiler install, I needed to tap into the same T on the oil boiler's return that the indirect used. That run had a Taco Flochek in it. Since the circ is labled IFC, I decided to remove the Flochek ... because it shouldn't be needed! Well, after I fired up the boiler I was wondering how the hell I have 176° hot water in the tank, since the circ cannot be programmed to run over 150°. Turns out, ghost flow. That IFC circ isn't an IFC at all!

I need to put the Flochek back in. Will have to be on the supply line, since there's no room on the short return now. At least I won't have to drain much out of the boiler, since it's up high.

Ted's House on the water...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennedy_Compound
In 2012 the main house was donated by the Kennedy family to the Edward Kennedy Institute for the US Senate, which said it would host educational seminars in the house and that it will open it to the public at specific times.

Been in that house many times...
Don't hold it against me...
I was working for Vicki...
