.... if you are trying to clean mortar.... try vinegar with a very stiff bristle brush

Nice job, re-using the old brick was probably the best thing as far as matching up. Jobs like that can be unpredictable and time consuming which is why estimates might seem a bit high from masons.

Who is looking at your roof...
The black hellicopters...
If you brush the roof too hard you will be back up there...
To replace shingles...
Pay a kid short money to do the stupid/muscle work...
Once he humps the staging use a crane at the top...
Better than the hospital bill...

yep... I swept off what I could and im not going to worry about the little remaining staining from my amateur "slinging"... I figure time, rain and sun will blend it all in wonderfully :lol:
