here is the homemade controll box for my kaa-2 boiler that i made do take three thermostats and convert it to one wire to my coal boiler aquastat. now when each zone calls for heat it will start to stoke coal as soon as the thermostat calls for heat. the previous way i had it hooked was i was just using the high and low limits of the aquastat had a 40 minute lag time. this seems to have cut down the lag time to about 10 minutes.

Does the Keystoker aquastat still shut off the stoker at the high limit setting even if a zone thermostat is still calling for heat?

yes it does. as soon as the boiler temps hits 180 it shuts down the stoker until the temp drops below 180 and the demand for heat is there.

They usually will fire the fan and or stoker once the temp drops below the high limit on a call for heat and stop when the call drops. Once the low switch gets hit, it will run to the high switch and stop. Not sure how the Keystoker is, but most controls work in this fashion.

keystoker runs the combustion blower 24-7 aquasta just controls the stoker
