Boiler- bypass loop

Boiler- bypass loop

Gents,
Hate to say it but one of my best friends is installing an ODWB. Trust me, I tried to steer him right but......
So here is the question, the by-pass loop is a big help in my 520 boiler. It seams that it would also help an ODWB too. Or do they run 'em so hot to get rid of the creosote that it wont matter?

Dave, the only way a bypass loop would help your friend is if it still had an EFM 520 attached to it. :D

 Most of those outdoor boilers have water constantly circulating through them...so the bypass loop would not help.
