Anyone know anything about Koppe coal stoves. There's one on Craigslist with a ton of coal for $595.00. It looks European and has tiles on the outside.

I spoke to the guy and at first he said the stove was in very good condition. I asked about the grates and he said they were fine. Later when I said I was interested in coming to look at it and probaly buy it, he said I wanted to let you know that the grates are warped. He says it still works fine but if they are warped, he's overfired it and who knows what else might be wrong. He also mentioned the glass was broken in the door. Not exactly "pristine" like the add said.
The koppe stove co. Germany is still in business today. KOPPE IS THE VERY TOP OF THE LINE STOVES, START AROUND $4000. Harworth Heating UK has parts. I know I have been doing a lot of research because I am getting ready to sell a koppe Pot burner tiled oil stove. I think Toby and Arena companies make Parts. Most important thing with these stoves is the inside condition of the tiles, they are not replaceable as far as I know.
Hope this helps
