Waterfall near Tower City?

Waterfall near Tower City?

PostBy: LDPosse On: Tue Oct 22, 2013 12:53 am

I have heard that there is a waterfall somewhere along the mountain near Tower City. Does anyone know if this actually exists, and if so, where it is? The only waterfall I'm aware of, that's even remotely close, is the one next to the old Bordner cabin in Swatara State Park.
Thanks!

I am not sure if this is the falls you heard about. It is on the Swatara Creek, probably about 10 miles east of Tower City. http://waterfallrecord.com/2013/09/02/s ... nsylvania/

It is not too difficult to find, been there several times.

Found the falls. I didn't realize we had any this big in the area. It was a very nice hike from PA-25 to the falls, just under a mile. The scale is somewhat difficult to determine in the pics, but I would imagine these are 25-30 feet tall. Evidence of mining is very apparent in this area. Many piles of tailings in the area.
