Slow page loads.....

Slow page loads.....

PostBy: Richard S. On: Wed Jan 09, 2008 9:52 pm

Appears my host has had some issues over the last couple of days so you may have noticed some issues with slow page loads. They had a major DOS attack a few days ago and to add insult to injury there seems to also have been a major fialure in one of the datacenters. Hopefully they will have it straightened out shortly.

I did notice that. Nothing terrible, but not as snappy as usual. Glad they're on top of it!

Damn, I'm glad that was your host and not my wireless network. I was P.O'd thinking I was getting hacked on my un-broadcast-ed wireless on a linux box while running firefox. Really POd

The slowness I'm refferring to is response time and not really the actual time it takes, e.g. if you click a page it might load instantly but every few pages it hangs for few seconds before it loads instantly.

Did it take you long to download or upload?

As far as limits there isn't any really at the moment. I'll only put a quote on things if I have too but I'm well below what the plan offers now and ugrades will probably be in the future when I need it. FYI current file directory is about 1 gig,

Thanks for offer but once is more than enough. ;) I'll be adding a regular image gallery at some point. I almost have the forum to about where I want it so I'll probably be working on that next. If you have a lot of images you want to upload I'd wait until that gets here, much more suitable format for viewing images IMO but whatever floats your boat..

I have noticed slow response time lately. Then it's fine for a while.

Should work well now, I've been surfing around and except for one instance pages come up pretty quick. Comments please so I can move on to making it faster. :)

Been messing with he server setting for the last few days trying a few different things, mostly trying to stop the intermittent page that took a very long time to load. Sorry if you got any "page not found" errors, not much I can do about it because each change required a reboot. I believe I have it as good as it's going to get. Anyhow you shouldn't get any errors and all pages should load almost immediately. If you get any that don't that are say more than 1 in 40 let me know.
