The Romans called it sinister. Sinister = left handed (or on the left side) in Latin.

PS: I'm sinister also.

So are left handed hammers. I'm constantly smashing my fingers because I'm forced to use a right handed hammer.

The hardest thing I ever had to find was a left handed smoke shifter.

Boy Scout camp when I was 8 years old. Little brats !!!!!! But I did return the favor years later on the next generation....

I too am a lefty. But I shoot a lever .243 and a pump 30.06 for deer. Makes it easy. I never learned how to left bolt.....

the picture has a Browning x bolt in it in 308, very nice rifle. the far end of that field is just under 500 yards, I'm comfortable at the bench taking deer out to 400, anything farther than that i hoof it up .besides the bullet drop is wicked at that distance
i actually reload a 130 gr barnes for my field hunting. and use a autoloader carbine in woods

I don't hunt...nothing against it I just prefer to be lazy and coral my food so I don't have to run after it...in other words, a farmer! :-)

That being said, my neighbor whom hunts on me got a deer and needed help dragging it out of the woods. I helped him, but I think I got the raw end of the deal. No kill shot and all the hard work. Again a smiley here as I was glad to help him.

It took the both of us to remember how to gut a deer properly. I am used to sheep which are similar but have more stomachs! In the end what I thought was a good sized 4 point buck was actually only 116 pounds gutted. I am glad he got it though, he was very proud since the last time he landed one was back in 2002.
