How does this stuff get past Customs and Homeland Security, let alone find its way to distributors who would send it to stores across the country?

Any idea how much stuff comes into this country? I'd be surprised if 1% of things like this are visually inspected. They don't even have to lie and just put toothpaste on the packing slip, unless someone actually opened the box....

Grumpy, It was probably the beans that made the funny smell. But I understand that's your story and you are sticking to it. I won't tell anybody. :nana:

The Dollar Tree around here has the absolute best cleaning supplies. Bleach (as mentioned earlier), ammonia, toilet bowl cleaner, dish soap, etc.

I do buy laundry detergent there but it seems really good. Three kids, a lot of grass stains and other dirt on their clothes.

Every once in a while I make picture frames. I get $1 frames from the $Tree and use the glass and backing stand-up doo-dad. I even bought the pedometer that counts the strokes that my stoker takes there three years ago and it's still going. When my kids need gift bags I always go there. Two bags for a dollar instead of $3.99 at K-Mart? Hell, yes.

I don't mind spending money on something that's worth it, but I won't waste it.
