Did I ever mention that in my youth I ran a FUEL OIL company?!!? I am a graduate of NEFI. Lol! The Harvard of oil burner schools 8-) I never thought that part of my life would come in handy again but it certainly has with all this coal boiler plumbing, wiring, drafting and such. Who knew?!!?

Wow never heard of the place! Sounds like I would've enjoyed that school.

Do they indoctrinate the students with progressivism like the big universities do?

I also went to NEFI in Watertown. Unfortunately, it's no longer there.

Lately I feel like I should have gone into the home heating field instead of mechanics. You professional heating guys thanks for contributing. Matt

I remember the nefi class, I still have the patch on my old NEIT jacket... The NEFI book is still one of the best sources of fuel oil theory / function information. I have sent a few techs there in the past, oil is dieing so no sense in sending any more...
