520 Questions

yea thanks for reminding me. With diesel at $3.799+ it's not worth the trip with the equipment I have access to. What I'm waiting for is someone to pay me to haul something down to your coal region and rather than come back empty I'll haul a load back, that way it's economical for everyone.

How much would you want to haul something down to the coal region?? I'm looking for a table saw and I found a couple on E-bay in NY but I don't drive. I'm about 5 miles from several breakers!!

it's not worth it for a table saw, the fuel alone could buy you a brand new one.

You never know about that. Last fall I paid one of the guys I work with $500 to pick up a pattern torch in NY that I bought of Ebay for $150. It was worth it to me.

How many mpg do you get on your truck? You should see the stuff Dave from Warrensburg drives around in. $$$

I have an Ingersoll-Rand IR-30 compressor on a 80 gallon tank too, if anyone wants it. It has a 5 HP single phase motor. Its gotta go. He now has 4 compressors in my garage and I can't get the hotrod in there!

the dump truck that can haul coal gets 5 miles per gallon on a good day, sometimes less. My minivan gets 20 mpg empty and can haul about 1,000-1500 pounds on my trailer safely, hauling it gets about 14mpg. I've had 3800# on the trailer on a scrap metal run but it was 25 miles per hour all the way and only 2 stops.
