If the collective nation voted straight up and fair and square to do away with guns, would all of you get in line to turn yours in (all of them)? If not, then you really don't believe in voting.

.. and if the majority vote called for all people starting with I should commit suicide then would you comply. Is that the best example you have. The moron in charge has seriously eroded trust in the govt process and the knee jerk reaction is to protect yourself. That is why gun sales are through the roof. Geez, you have to do better than that. 11MM on disability, 92MM not in the work force, endless debt and stupid govt and you want to quietly acquiesce. Gimme a break.

Jpete, I haven't been voting all that long, We used to be able to serve our country years before we could vote. Your question is only valid if one could vote an entire Gov. of their choice, then one has to ask if it was ever better or just a gradual decline & that pretty much goes with ones perspective. In any event as I said if you don't vote (win or lose) you have not even tried to better the country & have no right to complain, as I have often said if things are soo bad you or anyone else (guess I should mention not in prison or a minor)has a right to leave & go find a better more suitable place to your liking. I wonder why all these people are trying anything & everything to come here if it's all that bad, that is I guess they just love to have something to complain about. If you didn't catch my drift no one is forcing you to pay for anything as you have an option.

Well Sam, if I can just leave if I don't like it, maybe you could keep your opinion to yourself if you don't like my complaining. How about that?

Since neither of those things is likely to happen, I guess we're stuck here.

You keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result, and I'll keep pointing and laughing....

Jpete, I just made a simple observation that if you don't vote, don't complain. I really didn't think for one moment that not anyone here would not vote if at all possible, I mean that is one of the most important rights we have IMHO & someone that is always constitutionally exact would never miss that chance. I'm not saying you didn't but this conversation kind of leads that way, don't forget that one of the smartest things the FF did was install a means of amending the Constitution & I guess they never gave much thought to the quality of people that would eventually become leaders but in a lot of ways what we had then we have now just in a different time & scale.
Anyway the polls close at * so I got one more chance to vote.

For the record, I've voted in every election since I turned 18. Even appeared on the ballot once. Where you got the impression I don't vote I have no idea but it's fun to let you run with your delusions every once in a while.

I might even vote in the fall. I haven't decided yet. But I don't have any illusions that it makes a difference.

The system is rigged, TPTB own both teams, they don't care who wins, they win either way.

Well one nice thing I don't have to waste my time going to the polls anymore. After the last elections I was gerrymandered in to a 95%+ liberal district so why waste the time. :flush:

That works both ways DB, our local Rep. got gerrymandered out of his job & choose to run for the senate rather than what would be a new district & lost so I don't even know who or where my local Rep. will be. They should just do the districts by geography & leave them alone.
