Erie County voted in term limits so no County Executive can serve more than 12 years, the Erie Mayor already had limits. A small step but one in the right direction IMO. :)

Yeah but Cuccinelli ran a piss poor race and still came within 2 points of pulling it off. Look a little closer at the results and you'll learn that MacAwful is the first individual ever in the history of VA to win the governorship with less then a majority of voters. He won with 48 percent of the votes. Cuccinelli won a greater number of independents and even had a large number of Demo crossovers. Who knows how it would have gone if the RNC had shown any interest in winning the state. Instead, the establishment RNC passed on an opportunity to keep Obamacare in the forefront.

The determining factor in this race made it's appearance in the spring when a Democratic bundler from TX gave the Libertarian candidate a major financial infusion to insure a third candidate was on the ballot. That spilt the Republican/Conservative vote and gave the election to MacAwful. Give those votes to Cuccinelli and he wins by 6 points. That is what it is and even with that, Cuccinelli should have, could have ran a better campaign. He wanted to play nice and he lost.

I don't know when these Republicans are going to learn that these Progressives are not our friends. They come out throwing elbows and we appeal to the ref. Give me a break! It's going to be a long 4 years of gridlock in the Commonwealth as MacAwful will have to work with Republican majorities in the state houses as well as those Dems that recognize the debacle of Obamacare. It will be interesting. Lisa

The elections yesterday proved that the Obama backed faction is still stronger than the alternatives. This bodes poorly for 2014.

I disagree. Virginia is a prime example of why Obamacare should be used to point out what a miserable life under Socialist rule is like. a 12pt lead wiped out almost entirely in a few weeks since the Train wreck rolled out.
It was pointed out correctly that a 3rd party Mole was slipped in to syphon off votes ( although it was a TX. Liberal Bundler the real funding was funneled to him through Geo. Soros).
The RNC establishment was almost as complicit in the Loss as Soros for chrissakes.

Millions of people are already feeling the effects of this awful Law, come 2014 it ain't going to be better and I'll venture it'll prolly be worse....much worse.

There is a reason vulnerable Liberals had an emergency meeting with President A-hole yesterday trying to make him postpone his trashed Law until after next years election.
