Super Typhoon Haiyan

Super Typhoon Haiyan

PostBy: Duengeon master On: Thu Nov 07, 2013 8:54 pm

All my hopes and prayers go out to my family in Cebu, Philippines. They are in the path of super typhoon Haiyan. Winds are 195 MPH or 316 KM/H winds!!! The eye is going to pass only about 200 miles, or 324 km. north of their homes.

This category 5 typhoon is extremely dangerous!!! MUCH STRONGER THAN Katrina, Andrew, or Sandy!!!

Material things can be replaced!!! Family can not!!! GOD bless everyone that they are all safe!!!

Chris 009to090 Also has Philippine relatives there. I will pray for your family that they are all safe. GOD bless!!!

This is an epic storm! I hope your families are in a safe place if that is possible. I have a friend that just returned from there with his new wife and child. No place to be right now.

If you have ever been to Philippines you know how badly the houses are put together.

I've seen what a "tropical storm" can do to Jamaica, and I've friends who have family in the Philippines as well. I do know how bad this can be.

DM & Chris, my prayers go out to your families as well as all in the path of the storm, it will probably be a while before you hear but that is to be expected.

Yeah, one nasty storm...

My family is not in the line of fire. Thankfully it will miss them. Rich's family is getting hammered, as they are right in the path.

Rich, I hope your family evacuated.
My co-worker who lives in Cebu City says the gov evacuated them before it hit. That was 2 days ago, and we haven't heard back from him yet.
