Does anyone have trouble with the feed screw turning due to vibration? What can be done to stop it? If I put a locknut on it, l'll lose the ability to turn it fully.

Some have reported that, and have used a nut to hold it.

I put tape on mine to let me return it to it's set point without having to get underneath the hopper to see where it is, and that seems to work pretty well at keeping it from backing out.

I had the same problem , I taped a piece of string to the end of it and tied a small bolt to the string to hold it in my set position , works fine for me . The L shape is pointing down so I can only make full turns but that was not a problem for my setting .

LOL I did that with mine as well. Now we supply them with a 1/4 -28 jam nut. Hardware stores normally carry them.
