EFM distance to flue?

EFM distance to flue?

PostBy: mcguirehg On: Mon Nov 11, 2013 8:11 pm

I'm looking to install an EFM stoker, but facing a hurdle. The space that my Olin burner is in is only 7 feet deep, making it real tight. Can I move tge stove 10 feet away and extend piping to the flue to exhaust? This would open the space to 13 feet deep and allow for a less tight install. Most importantly, I need the install to be safe for my family. Thanks Dan

Is it a straight shot with upward pitch on the pipe? If so, you should be fine. I have about 12' of pipe between my EFM and the chimney.

This would be a straight run and allow the stove to be installed in a open area for access. I would just move my current oil tank as I was going to do anyway to access the basement windows for delivery of coal. I'm hopeful this will be a solution for a nice install. See pic for details

This pic may be better to show the space, 7 feet deep by 13 long, it then opens up to a 17 by 13 foot space. Any suggestions would be great. Just trying to get a better idea as a novice with this stuff
