My grandson lives in Chincoteague, VA, just minutes from Wallop. I'm going to watch if the clouds clear in CNY.

I was star gazing at Cherry Springs when they launched this summer.
I was listening to a Phillies game on the radio and fell asleep.
Missed the whole thing.

I have the live video up. The are trying for 7:30 pm EST but they have an issue with a tracking station in NC which may delay things. Hoping the sky is clear enough to see it here. I missed the last one.

Not to spin this thread off kilter, but grinding, polishing, and testing telescope mirrors used to be my hobby. I'm still working on a 30" mirror that has so far gotten the better of me though. May finish it someday. Building the requisit Foucault tester is a fun project in and of itself.
