Post from earlier this year...guy was selling coal @100 ton... well I bought coal from a guy off craigslist...said it was too small for his stove...smothered his fire...dark gray in color...skeptical to say the least. should have listened to my gut...produces minimal heat, triple the ash content.... good for driveway filler!!!!! fills coal bucket in about 5 hours with constant run....grrrrrrrr

In my experience, free or cheap coal is worth exactly what you pay for it. BTDT.
