Expanding the Size of Avatars, Is There a Easy Way to Do It?

Is there a way to expand an avatar on this forum to fill the screen and get a good look at it?

It seems to me that avatars are often meant to be examined in a bigger window. Perhaps you could include a check box for members to permit their avatar to be blown up, or not blown up?

I could possibly add a link in the profile, I'm not going to add it to the posts becsue people expect the image to go to their profile when clicked.
