Shotgun starts tomorrow in MA. I usually pass every year unless I get invited out of state. Hunting around here is like traveling on any road - too damn crowded for me!

Once I was in a tree stand on the last evening of gun season and heard 3 shots in a row then about 4-5 seconds later I heard something crashing through the tree limbs to my right then again closer then right above me Needless to say I was ready for a drink. Some people should not be allowed to play with big boy toys.

Nope, all Bambi's are safe and accounted for on my end ! Had shots? My God,10 yards away, twice. They tried to Pearl Harbor me by coming out of the short side of my viewable area. The Scent Controls that we've been using are showing proof of working well. Both times it was a young button-buck that got that close. Not the animal I needed to take. His five pals that were behind him would've been more like it,but if the shot 'aint right, well then don't take it,dammit ! What a great time in the Great Outdoors! Now it's back to the place where the beatings will continue until the Morale improves !
