P.S I will be Picking some upTommorrw I will know How good it is by Saturday morning
Yup ya go thru Treverton he's on the left hand side past the big car lot up on the hill .
There is more to the story at the time this happened I was using a delivery guy from Shamokin who always complained about going to Blaschaks even though I offered to make it right for him $ .
So one day I said what do you suggest his favorite place was Harmony but it hates my Victory and I tell him I want white ash so he tells me about Cal says the ash is a little bit red but it burns hot . So I got 2 ton one for me and one up my Moms, we still had the Franco B .
WOw great coal burned super hot and performed well in my Vicky, pinkish ash but the most unusual thing was the smell when I opened the hatch to load it would remind me of being little at my grandparents when My Pap would fill the stoves .
I forgot that smell and it had it, so when it was getting low I ordered 2 ton more and Boom here came the Rocks and I mean it was almost unusable .
My Mom who raked the Franco B would almost be in tears telling about the trouble it was giving her when I would stop by, several times I got calls cause it was locked up and she could do no more.
At my house my vickys grates got a bigger bite so if I shook careful I could pop the rocks thru, but I also more than once had to shut down and remove the build up of rock .
Now when I say rock I mean after shaking I could pick enough out of an ash pan to cover the face of a coal stove shovel and would collect about a mayonnaise jar full every couple a days . Heres the funny part I know coal and never really seen any rock going in the hopper or was able to pick it out in the bin, Cal and the Coal man where skeptical cause Cal uses heavy media cleaning which should be foolproof that’s why we did photos and samples .
Now Like I said in my earlier post it was so horrific that it had to be a mistake the First batch I got was prolly the best I have ever had, it was so good that when they came and removed the bad stuff enough time had passed that he should have cleared the mistake and I wanted more of that Good Coal I let him bring 2 more ton and it sucked just as Bad .
I paid to have my Moms removed which Cal took back and refunded the money and I mixed my ton with Blaschak and a little Harmony to get it thru the grates .
It was an ordeal that took up too big of a part of my time and caused days of grief I'm sure he can't be selling it still or he wouldn't still be in business .
He was straight up with the money and returns even though there where no answers why it was or what was going on with this stuff.
But ya Know how it goes with Coal no one gets fooled twice but I did there ain't a third and I never used the Delivery Guy after that cause he was partial to Cals side of things . It's a shame too cause I liked that first batch so much .
I never Bad mouthed him to anyone cause he was straight up, but I can't bring myself to recommend him or try again .
Good Luck though
