Christ Almighty,he genuinely was everything they wrote about him and MORE ! Met him and Bill and I was absolutely floored by them both. Both of their Families were a true pleasure to meet. Well,Babe's made his Last Jump, and I know He Jumped Clean ! Thanks Sam for puttin' this up......Bob....

He is not gone, but is lucky enough to have earned a better place to reside. "The Greatest Generation" allows one more to leave. Thank you for shaping our future from 1941 to 1945 and remaining around to see the fruits of your sacrifice. Sorry we are not living up to the high standards you and your friends established.

Dammit, I hate 'Politics'!

Sam thanks for posting this.

Christ, I'm lost for words sometimes. All those men whom we've all seem to have gotten accustomed to as cellular heroes are just that, except they were real men. Living forever...on film

I am amazed there are any left. All the ones I grew up admiring and learning from are gone. Just different men then today.

Another one passed that I knew well his son's more than him but he always took an interest in what we were doing. The first time I ever even knew that he served was when he talked to me before I left but he just wished me the best & never got into what he had been through. RIP my Brother & friend.

My respect to these men and the thousands upon thousands who took their similar but untold stories quietly to their graves ahead of their pals. Talk about a debt that cannot be repaid, this is it. I am blessed and honored to have known, and been influenced by so many of them growing up. No words left. Mike
