- Hand Fed Coal Stove: Alaska Kast Console II Hearth
As some of you know I recently purchased a mark III. I finally got it to the basement. I was going to wait to use it until next year but I am getting impatiant. I am having a superbowl party in the basement so I think I am going to unhook the furnace and connect the coal stove to the chimney for a day or 2. My question is about the fire brick. Should the brick completely line the inside? Across the back I have about a 3 inch space on the one side. The front I assume lay on their side. I think I also have about an inch extra space on the sides. Is this right? Also does anyone have a manual for this stove? Thanks.

Never mind. I looked at it again and they went right in. Sometime you just need to take a second away from things I guess. I would still like to get a copy of a manual for this if anyone has it.

I have the manual, I can scan it for you and e-mail it to you. PM me if you want it.
Harman has the manuals for all the other coal stoves on their website, they omitted the Mark series.
