Couldn't resist. Wouldn't make sense to do a test run without the proper fuel. Threw some coal on. Stove idles very nicely. Bring on winter. Matt

I am very happy to see this. My choice was the correct one. I hope that your family and Stanley have many happy years together.

Wow you got a perfect fit. Not too big, not too small. It looks like it was made exactly for that fireplace!!!!

Thanks for the compliments. Unfortunately the house only has two chimneys. One for the original coal boiler, now oil and original coal kitchen stove ( the one I have the Glenwood in.) separate flues. The kitchen stove is now electric and opposite original location. The other one has three fireplaces at the bottom. Again separate flues. The smoke pipe for the Stanley goes right through the smoke chamber and into the clay liner. Worked out pretty good. I would like to go into my theory on the central heating and why no fireplaces upstairs, but I won't bore you. I would love a stove upstairs. Maybe a conversation for the "For those that appreciate the past thread". When I get the Modern Glenwood it will just have to be eye candy in the foyer till I decide what to do with it. Matt

You will do well with Stanley. Make sure he has pipe damper just behind the exhaust collar.
