Just won a Stanley Argand off of ebay. Was just going to let it slide by, but being so close to Boston, and being exactly what I want, how could I let it go? I think I got it for a good price. Looks like it may be missing some trim pieces, but thats ok. Once I get it home I'll post pictures and what I plan to do. I'm sure it will need a full restoration. We'll see. Maybe I can get it hot for the rest of this season and have it restored this spring. Maybe I'll even give it try. Would also like to thank the forum member who brought it to my attention. Will be sending him a private message. Also want to thank the Antique Stove God. You know who you are. More to follow. Matt

Thanks FF, can't wait. No one ever told me this coal thing would become an obsession. Just what I need another hobby. Matt

You know, there are places you can go to for professional advice, or if you just need a friendly person to talk to who understands what your going through when trying to deal with that obsession. . . .

The Stanley will look perfect there. I'm glad you got it. If you need pictures of mine as a reference, please ask.

That's great...I'm on the lookout for something like that. I really like Nortcan's insert. My checkbook is on the lookout for more cash!!!! Funds are low after the Crawford 40 addition.

It would be a fantastic picture for either instance, .... but shouldn't it be a coal fire ?
