We can afford health care for those that pay no tax but can not place a guard at a school to protect our children. This kid walked right thru the front door with a shot gun. If there was a guard there it would not have happened.
You need more than guards and who is to say the guard isn't the nut case to go off?
You need to separate the school building from the administration building and all entrances into the school need double doors.
I mentioned in previous thread I went to pick my niece up at her school becsue she was sick and they had a foyer with formidable plexiglass and doors that required you be buzzed in. They buzzed someone through as I was standing there and I could of easily walked right into the school. It was even worse at a daycare center, I tapped someones car in a parking lot and found out they worked a t a daycare there. I walked into the daycare and same thing with the plexiglass and the doors. When the woman saw me she walked right past the teller type window over to the door and opened it to ask me what I wanted.
You'll never stop these incidents from happening but addressing safety at the schools themselves should be a priority because you have a large amount of potential victims congregated in one area.
