This is the 'new' Round thermostat, with electronic switching--NOT the bimetal strip/mercury switch T87.
Thermostat *seems* to be working *pretty close* to setpoint based on external thermometer (alcohol/glass tube type) BUT the internal thermometer is WAY off, like >5 degrees off. It's a simple bimetal arrangement, it would appear, but not readily accessible. Anyone know if there's some trick to adjusting it?
Alternatively, what's a good, inexpensive, non-programmable, heat-only thermostat?
(The bachelor way would, of course, be to apply a 99-cent thermometer to the wall, and a piece of electrical tape to the lower portion of the thermostat dial...however, that will not fly with the lady of the house. )
Possible to Calibrate a T87K? If Not, Recommend a Tstat
